Procedure Description:
Botox is a chemical that can be injected with a tiny needle into certain facial muscles to weaken their activity and decrease the wrinkles which they create.
What To Expect:
Some of the best uses for Botox are treating the verticle frown lines between the eyebrows, the horizontal forehead creases, and the lateral crows feet.
Preprocedure:
During your pre-treatment consultation, Dr. Harvey will take a medical history, perform an examination, and recommend and explain options that are appropriate for you. Dr. Harvey's experience with injectables dates back to the 1980s when he participated in the early FDA Clinical Trials for Collagen injections.
Postprocedure:
There is some mild discomfort during the treatment with Botox. This ceases when the treatment is finished. Occasionally there is a very small amount of bruising for a few days. The cosmetic correction takes a few days to be seen and usually lasts about 4 months.
